French Broad River MPO is hiring!
We are hiring a Regional Transportation Planner to join our dynamic team!
Land of Sky Regional Council is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Regional Transportation Planner with primary duties of long range transportation planning, regional transit coordination, local government planning assistance, and multi-modal planning support for the French Broad River MPO. Duties may also include support of corridor development plans, local government transportation planning projects, project prioritization, federal grant distribution, data collection, regional trails and other regional planning projects.
Successful candidate will possess the ability to work independently; have transportation planning experience; review information for accuracy and consistency; interpret regulations; determine when to seek guidance from superiors; and possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Position requires superb verbal and written communication skills to interact with a variety of individuals including co-workers, local government staff, general public, and elected officials.
